Individuals in need of support in transitioning from inpatient psychiatric care or who require more intensive services than those offered in traditional outpatient therapy may benefit from Dover Behavioral Health System’s Partial Hospital Program (PHP).
The Partial Hospital Programs are tailored differently to ensure that activities and therapies reflect the specific stage of life needs of each individual. The Adult Partial Hospital Programs are offered weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing intensive therapeutic assistance for individuals who need support as they strive to achieve a satisfying and productive life at home, in the workplace, or school and in the community. Evening chemical dependency partial programs are offered on weekdays.
An adult behavioral health partial hospitalization program is a level of care in which patients attend a full-time day program that offers a high level of support while giving patients more freedom than an inpatient program.
This makes PHP a great step-down from inpatient stay as patients begin to adapt to a life in recovery. Adult mental health partial hospitalization programs at Dover Behavioral Health System allow for patients to receive outpatient treatment in a highly structured environment similar to inpatient treatment and maintain support systems and skills learned in inpatient stay.
However, PHP can often be a solid first-step for those with community or familial responsibilities that do not let them attend long term inpatient stay but require a high-level of treatment.
Dover Behavioral Health’s adult outpatient programs also offer treatment for substance use disorders and opioid treatment programs in addition to behavioral health issues. Our drug and alcohol rehab program is designed around co-occurring disorders, focusing on both your mental health and your physical health.
Those suffering from opioid dependency and at risk of opioid overdose are even offered Medically-Assisted Treatment and medication management as a way to help treat opioid use disorders or opioid addiction.
This program can serve adults who need support in transitioning from inpatient psychiatric care or who require more intensive services than those offered in traditional outpatient therapy. Our experienced staff designs activities and therapies tailored to reflect the specific needs of each individual we treat.
