Adult Outpatient Treatment at Dover Behavioral Health System

Dover Behavioral Health System offers an adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to adults at our location in Dover, Delaware. Any adult patient who needs support in transitioning from inpatient psychiatric care or requires more intensive services than those offered in traditional outpatient therapy may benefit from Dover Behavioral Health System’s outpatient treatment programs.

Additionally, Dover Behavioral Health offers adult substance abuse outpatient programs for those with co-occurring disorders.

What is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

An Intensive Outpatient Program or IOP is a part-time day program that allows for the most freedom for patients while also offering structure, therapies and counseling.

An IOP can benefit those trying out treatment for the first time, while also supplying a great step-down for those in long term residential or even PHP treatment.

With strong support groups and a strong support system, our IOP is offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

What is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)?

A Partial Hospitalization Program or PHP is a full-time day program where patients attend treatment for the majority of the day. A great way to step-down from residential treatment or step-into a treatment program that is still highly structured but less structured than inpatient treatment, PHP offers many of the same counseling and behavioral therapies as an inpatient stay.
