BEHAVIORAL HEALTH'S 24-HOUR ASSESSMENT
REFERRAL CENTER

When mental health and/or substance abuse issues arise,
help is on hand 24 hours a day, seven
days a week at Dover Behavioral Health's Assessment Referral
Center (ARC). No appointment or referral is needed.
ARC is staffed with highly trained behavioral healthcare
professionals, including social workers, nurses, and counselors,
who provide immediate access to confidential help –
free of charge. Whether conducting telephone screenings or
face-to-face assessments, ARC’s behavioral healthcare
specialists work as a team to develop and initiate the recommended
course of treatment.
Our comprehensive assessments include:
· Evaluation of the presenting problem
· Mental health and substance abuse history
· Current mental status examination
· Safety assessment
· Level of care determination
· Financial considerations
· Plan of action, including referrals
for ongoing support
ARC’s services are responsive to the needs of individuals,
families, and professionals. To ensure access to the high
quality of help provided by Dover Behavioral Health, we accept most
insurance plans, including HMO's, PPO's, and other managed
care plans. Also, we are Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare approved.

assessment or admission.

INPATIENT SERVICES FOR ADULTS
AND ADOLESCENTS
When individuals experience acute behavioral
health symptoms and need intensive inpatient care, Dover
Behavioral Health provides a
safe, secure
environment where patients will receive the highest quality
of care. Our experienced professional
staff combine compassion with skill, closely monitoring behavior
and medication, consistently tending to the needs of each
patient.
Our multidisciplinary treatment plans
are specially designed to meet the differing needs of adults
and adolescents. In all cases, inpatient treatment plans encourage
and incorporate family involvement.
Our Adult and Adolescent Inpatient Services
include:

· Daily structured therapeutic programming

· Allied therapies, including art and
music therapy
· Personalized discharge and aftercare

· Follow up with outpatient providers

PARTIAL HOSPITAL PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS
& ADOLESCENTS
Anyone who needs support in transitioning
from inpatient psychiatric care or requires more intensive
services than those offered in traditional outpatient therapy
will benefit from Dover Behavioral Health's Partial Hospital
Program.
The Partial Hospital Programs are tailored
differently to ensure
that activities and therapies reflect the specific stage of
life needs of each individual.
Both
the Adolescent & Adult Partial Hospital Programs
are offered weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing
intensive therapeutic assistance for individuals who need
support as they strive to achieve a satisfying and productive
life at home, in the work place, or school and in the community.
Program elements include:

therapy

DUAL DIAGNOSIS TREATMENT FOR ADULTS
& ADOLESCENTS
The treatment programs are designed to meet the complex and
unique needs of adults and adolescents who have mental health
issues combined with problems related to substance abuse.
Services for patients who come to Dover Behavioral
Health
for Dual Diagnosis Treatment include:

A comprehensive assessment and evaluation
to assess the
scope of their addiction and related mental health issues
· Group therapy by professionals who specialize
in dual diagnosis treatment
· Family sessions
· Psycho educational group activities,
including videos, lectures, discussions, and workbook materials.
Core treatment goals include an increased understanding
of dual diagnosis and broader knowledge about the changes
needed to promote healing and recovery.
Our team of specialists addresses:

· Relapse prevention
· 12-step self-help groups
· Denial
· Communication and assertiveness training
· Leisure activities and stress management
· AIDS and chemical abuse
· Aftercare
Dual Diagnosis Treatment at Dover Behavioral Health supports the
12-step approach to treatment and includes Alcoholics Anonymous
and Narcotics Anonymous involvement. All patients who
participate in the Dual Diagnosis component of treatment are strongly encouraged to attend meetings
upon completion of Dover Behavioral Health's program.
